Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) state president Rampal Majra on Friday called upon party workers to intensify public outreach efforts and expose the failures of both the BJP and the Congress. He accused the ruling BJP of betraying the trust of the people and claimed the Congress had failed to act as a strong Opposition.

Addressing party workers and leaders at the office of district president Surjeet Singh, Majra launched a sharp attack on both national parties.

“The BJP has failed to fulfil the promises it made during the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Its anti-people decisions —like the steep hikes in LPG prices, toll plaza charges, petrol, and diesel — have put extra financial pressure on common citizens. The recent increase in electricity bills alone has burdened the people with an additional Rs 5,000 crore,” Majra said.

He didn’t spare the Congress either, labelling it as the ‘B Team’ of the BJP. “The Congress has failed to function as an effective Opposition. For the first time in Haryana’s history, a Budget Session of the Assembly was held without a Leader of Opposition,” he said.

Majra claimed that the public is now looking at the INLD as a credible alternative, especially as the BJP has, according to him, lost public confidence within just five months of its new tenure.

He emphasised the need to strengthen the party structure at every level — district, block, and state — and energise the cadre to raise public issues actively.

“Each and every INLD worker must be prepared to highlight the problems faced by the general public and take the party's message to every corner of the state,” Majra asserted.
