Man accused in nine cases arrested

The Karnal police have arrested a key accused involved in an alleged snatching incident under the ‘Operation Trackdown’. The accused, Yogesh, a resident of Naurtha, was arrested by a team led by inspector Vipin Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sumit Kumar of Indri police station. With his arrest, the police have solved eight other cases as he was allegedly involved in these cases. As per the police, on November 13, Kamaljeet was travelling from canal track towards Kalri Nanhera village. Yogesh and accomplices intercepted him and robbed him. A case was registered at the Indri police station, said the Investigating Officer. The police said the accused was a habitual offender with eight previous cases registered against him under various serious sections, including IPC 136, 379, 302, 392, 397, 452 and the EC Act. All cases were earlier registered at the Indri police station against him, the investigating officer said.
