Man arrested for harassing student at dental college
Student’s statement recorded in the presence of woman lawyer
The Sirsa police have arrested a man from Himachal Pradesh for allegedly harassing and threatening a girl student of JCD Dental College over phone. Anshul from Kasauli, Solan district, allegedly began contacting the student after she moved to Sirsa for her final-year BDS studies.
The victim first met Anshul in 2019 while studying in Mohali. According to her complaint filed on October 14, 2025, there had been no contact for years. However, recently, Anshul started calling her repeatedly, sending threats of serious harm when she refused to talk.
The student’s statement was recorded in the presence of woman lawyer Sadhana Mittal. The police tracked Anshul to Kasauli. During questioning, they recovered the mobile phone used for harassing the student. Civil Lines police inspector Pradeep Kumar said, “The accused was produced in court on Monday and sent to judicial custody."
