The Kurukshetra police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Ajaib Singh, allegedly following a dispute over a two-wheeler.
The accused has been identified as Dilbag Singh, a resident of Kurukshetra. He was produced in court and subsequently remanded in judicial custody.
According to a police spokesperson, a woman lodged a complaint at Jhansa police station alleging that her husband, Ajaib Singh, had left home on July 26 but did not return. Around midnight, Dilbag Singh allegedly arrived at their house and threatened to kill him.
Jhansa SHO Gulab Singh stated that the two men had a dispute over a two-wheeler. In his statement, Dilbag Singh, a labourer by profession, said he had parked his motorcycle near the SYL canal on July 26, only to later discover it had been stolen. He came to know that Ajaib Singh had allegedly taken the motorcycle.
That evening, Dilbag Singh found Ajaib Singh in an intoxicated state and assaulted him with an iron pipe. He left Ajaib injured on the road, and the next morning, Ajaib Singh was found dead, the SHO said.
