Gurugram, February 26
The Gurugram police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife by strangulating her in the Sector 53 area. The accused had claimed that his wife died due to illness in order to mislead the police. However, the postmortem report revealed that she was strangulated to death.
Following the postmortem report, an FIR was registered at the Sector 53 police station today and police arrested the accused. He was later produced in a city court and sent to judicial custody.
The police said that during questioning, the woman’s husband, Tapraj Joshi, confessed that he had an argument with his wife Shanti. The dispute escalated so much that in anger, Tapraj strangulated his wife to death.
