The police have booked a man for duping a local resident of Rs 22 lakh.

Surender Singh reported that he purchased a plot for a shop for Rs 3.20 lakh and a residential plot for Rs 14.90 lakh from Jaibhagwan.

Surender said Jaibhagwan told him that Rampal wanted to sell a shop, which he purchased for Rs 4 lakh.

He said when he asked for registration, Jaibhagwan threatened him. He alleged that Jaibhagwan duped him of Rs 22.10 lakh. — TNS
