Man gets 20-yr RI for raping minor

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ashwani Kumar sentenced a man to 20 years of imprisonment under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for raping a 16-year-old girl.

In May 2020, the father of the victim filed a complaint against a man for allegedly raping his daughter. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Sector 29 police station and later the police arrested the accused, Rahul of Shahpura in Faridabad.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
