The court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge has sentenced a man to life imprisonment in the murder case of his wife.
The court has sentenced Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him. A Kurukshetra police spokesman said on August 12, 2022, a police complaint was received at the Pehowa Sadar police station from Premchand, who stated that he had employed Pradeep Kumar at his poultry farm.
“Pradeep Kumar used to live with his wife Shanti at the poultry farm. On August 12, when I reached the poultry farm, Pradeep informed me that he had a dispute with his wife last night and he had pushed her hard, due to which she suffered injuries after her face and head hit the nails on the wall. She slept on her cot and was found dead in the morning. The woman had died due to the injuries sustained in the fight with her husband Pradeep Kumar”, he added.
A case was registered against the accused and he was arrested. The court has sentenced Pradeep Kumar to life imprisonment under Section 302 of IPC and also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on him, the police spokesman said.
