Gurugram police arrested a man for cheating several people of Rs 50 lakh on separate instances. The accused used to cheat people in the name of travel packages for foreign trips and had already been arrested once in 2019.
According to the police, on December 11 last year, a man filed a complaint at the Udyog Vihar police station, stating that in November 2024, he had booked a package to visit Thailand from a travel company—Fair Fuel Holidays Private Limited. He had transferred the money for it, but soon after, company executives stopped responding to his calls and emails. While investigating, the police arrested one accused on Thursday night from Mohan Garden, Delhi. The arrested accused has been identified as Suryakant Jha, a native of the Saharsa district in Bihar.
According to a police spokesperson, investigation revealed the accused set up an office for a travel company and took money from people to make arrangements for travel packages. It was revealed he also had an office in Delhi.
