Man held for threatening late INLD leader Nafe Singh Rathi’s family

The police have arrested a man from Rajasthan in connection with the threat issued to the family members of late INLD leader Nafe Singh Rathi, who was shot dead recently.
As per police sources, the arrested man is being brought from Barmer to Bahadurgarh, where he will be produced in a court tomorrow.
Jhajjar Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Arpit Jain confirmed that a man had been arrested from Rajasthan, but he did not disclose the identity of the arrested man. “We will share details tomorrow,” he said.
Meanwhile, members of the special investigation team (SIT) and local police officials today questioned certain leaders of the Congress and the BJP as they were named in a complaint lodged by the Rathi’s family.
As per police sources, Congress leader Bijender Rathi, who has served as president of the local Bar Association for several terms, was questioned at a local police station for several hours today.
The Congress leader’s son, Sandeep Rathi, who is also named in the complaint, was also questioned by the police, along with his father.
Former MLA and BJP leader Naresh Kaushik and local Municipal Council Vice-Chairman Rajpal Sharma, alias Pale Ram, who is also associated with the BJP, were also questioned by the police investigators at the police station for hours.
INLD leader Nafe Singh Rathi and his worker Jai Kishan were shot dead in an armed attack at Bahadurgarh on February 25. A special investigation team headed by a DSP-level officer was constituted to probe the case.
