The Kurukshetra police have arrested a man in connection with the recovery of 500 bags of urea from a truck in Pehowa, earlier this month.

The accused has been identified Mithu Ram, a resident of Patiala. He was produced before a court which sent him to two-day police remand.

A Kurukshetra police spokesman said on August 4, following a tip-off, a truck loaded with urea was parked near the Jurasi village. A police team reached the spot and recovered 500 bags of urea from the truck. Truck driver Pargat Singh was arrested. A case was registered at the Sadar Pehowa police station and during further investigation, prime accused Mithu Ram has been arrested from Patiala.
