Man kills brother in Palwal village over property dispute, flees

Palwal, July 17

A resident of Nandgaon village in Mathura district, UP, allegedly opened fire at his brother Amar Chand following a quarrel over a land dispute in Bhulwana village of the district on Tuesday night. No arrest has been made so far in this regard.

While the injured succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, the accused, identified as Devi Ram, managed to flee after the incident. It is reported that Devi Ram had come to the victim’s house last night to discuss the dispute over land ownership in their paternal village of Nandgaon. It is claimed that this dispute had caused Amar Chand to move to Bhulwana village a few years ago.

A probe has been launched into the incident, and the accused is likely to be arrested soon, said a police official. A formal complaint is yet to be lodged in this connection, it is reported.
