In Kurangawali village of Sirsa district, a man brutally murdered his wife with an axe and surrendered himself to the police. The Rori police sent the body for a post-mortem and revealed that the man had doubts about his wife’s fidelity because of which he killed her. A case has been registered against him and another person.

Chhinder Kaur from Killianwali (Punjab) said her daughter, Harpreet Kaur, was married to Hardeep Singh of Kurangawali. Recently, Hardeep and Harpreet were going through a rough patch in their marriage, prompting Chhinder to stay with them. Despite her efforts to resolve the quarrel, the arguments continued.

A murder case was registered against Hardeep and his nephew Gurpyar based on Chhinder’s statement, said the police.
