Man offers blank cheques to Gurugram cops to register his complaint

A bizarre incident has been reported from Gurugram where a local resident offered blank cheques to two cops to get his complaint registered. Chaudhary Sat Prakash Nain, who identifies himself as national president of Hindu Suraksha Dal (HSD), took to Twitter and posted two blank cheques addressed to DCP, South and SHO, Bhondsi police station, asking them to fill amount and help him against cow smugglers.

“Gurugram police please tell how much money the smugglers have given to kill me. Will give more than him, file a case. These are the copy of blank check in the name of DCP South and Bhondsi police station in-charge”, read the tweet which went viral on social media.

Taking a serious stance of the ‘slandering’ post, Gurugram police says the action will be taken against Nain.

“There are criminal cases against the guy in various districts. As of now officers are busy with the ongoing agitation and elections in Sohna so this tweet is not at the top of our priority list. Once we get free, we’ll take legal action under appropriate sections of law”, police commissioner Kala Ramachandran said.

When contacted, Chaudhary Sat Prakash Nain, who had posted on Twitter, said he was forced to do so as cows were being smuggled every day and concerned cops were not taking action.

“My brother Mandeep had filed a complaint on June 16 but police did not even register FIR while more than 15 accused came to our home to kill me and my brother. The accused were carrying weapons with them. I will send these cheques to concerns officials through registered post soon because I and my brother have life threats”, Nain said.
