Man stabbed to death in Panipat

A man was stabbed to death in Panipat’s Praveen Colony late Sunday night. The accused was caught from the spot and handed over to the police by locals. The deceased has been identified as Avnish Shukl of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, who was living in a rented accommodation in Praveen Colony. As per information, the accused, Jaiveer of Osar village, in Madlauda, was also living in the same colony.

Following an altercation on Sunday, Jaiveer allegedly stabbed Avnish with a sharp-edged weapon. The accused has been arrested and the weapon used in the crime was also recovered from him, SHO Sandeep Chahal said. The accused and the deceased were working in Paliwal factory, the SHO added.
