Man stabbed to death in Panipat

A woman along with her friend allegedly murdered her 50-years-old husband by stabbing him to death in Dahar village of the district. The police have arrested the woman and her paramour allegedly for murdering the man.

The deceased has been identified as Karambir of Dahar village. The deceased was missing under suspicious circumstances for the past three days. The Israna police had lodged amissing case on his brother Dharambir’s complaint. In his complaint to Israna police , Dharambir said his younger brother Karambir was missing from the night of June 19. He also suspected the role of his sister-in-law Jyoti (45) and Shreekant (28) of their village behind his brother’s disappearance.Following the complaint, the Israna police began a probe and brought Jyoti from Bahadurgarh to Israna police station, where she confessed about the crime.

Inspector Deepak Kumar, SHO, Israna, said the matter had come to the fore during the interrogation.

On their disclosure, the body of Karambir was recovered from a room in the fields near Binjhol canal. It was revealed during primary investigation that the accused Jyoti and Shreekant hatched a conspiracy to murder Karambir,police sources said. It was revealed that she had given sleeping pills in vegetables to her husband and after consuming he became unconscious. After that she called Shreekant and they stabbed him to death. After murdering him, they threw the Karambir’s body in a room in the fields with the help of another person. On the next day, Jyoti went to her parental house in Bahadurgarh along with her two children, the sources said. A case has been registered. Jyoti and Shreekant have been produced in the court, which has sent them to two-day police remand, the SHO maintained.
