Man ‘strangles’ wife to death

A 22-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband in a colony here. The incident came to light on Sunday when the woman, identified as Anchal, was found dead at her house in a colony in Ballabgarh town here. It is alleged that the woman was married to Monu in 2023. She was allegedly strangled to death by her husband after a dispute over money spent on liquor by him. The suspect fled the spot after committing the crime. The woman’s kin, who reached the spot, lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. A case has been registered against the suspect, who is reportedly absconding. A manhunt had been launched to nab him, said a police official.
