Yet another Covid patient has violated quarantine norms by travelling to Vaishno Devi in Jammu with his family after testing positive and without collecting the test report. An FIR has been registered against him at Badshahpur police station.

According to the complaint filed by Dr Jyoti Gupta, Medical Officer In-charge of UPHC, Fazilpur, a 56-year-old resident of Vipul Green Society in Sector 48 here got himself tested for Covid-19 on August 26 and left for Jammu with his family without taking the report.

“He was found Covid positive on August 27 and when we contacted him on the telephone, he told us that he was in Vaishno Devi. However, he assured us that he would stay in isolation at his parent’s residence in Jammu. He refused to disclose his Jammu address where he would stay in isolation. We fear he would spread the infection, so appropriate action be taken,” Dr Gupta said in her complaint.
