The BJP in Ambala has reposed its faith in Mandeep Rana, and he has again been appointed the party’s Ambala district chief.
His name was announced at the party office in the presence of the local unit, leaders and party workers.
Former cabinet minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar, who announced Mandeep Rana’s name, said, “As many as 34 party workers had submitted their nominations for the post of district chief but at the same time, they authorised the party president to pick the new chief and the decision was accepted. It was decided that Mandeep Rana would continue as the district chief in Ambala.” The party workers celebrated outside the party office in Ambala City.
Former minister Aseem Goel said, “In the BJP, a party worker working at the booth level can become the party’s president. Mandeep Rana became the district chief from a booth level. A strong party organisation forms the government. The Congress has failed to form its organisation and this was the reason behind why the Congress was not being able to form its government.”
BJP district chief Mandeep Rana, said, “I am grateful to the party leadership for giving me another opportunity to serve the party. I will fulfil my responsibilities and discharge my duties with the support of the party workers and further strengthen the party.”
Meanwhile in Kurukshetra, Tejender Singh Goldy has been appointed as the district chief of the party. He has replaced Sushil Rana.
Goldy previously had the responsibility of district general secretary and was part of the state working committee and the party’s Kisan cell.
Former minister Banwari Lal, who announced the name of Goldy, said, “The party has appointed Tejender Goldy as the new district chief of Kurukshetra. I am confident that with the support of all party workers he will propagate the policies of the party and strengthen the party’s base. The BJP has a good tradition of appointing the office- bearers after consulting the party workers.”
Tejender Singh Goldy, said, “I have worked with Sushil Rana in the past and I will continue to work under his guidance. I am grateful to the party leadership for giving me the opportunity. We will work to further strengthen the party organisation and continue to win the elections.”
Former minister of state Subhash Sudha said, “As many as 48 party workers had applied for the post of the district chief, but left the decision on the party leadership, and later withdrew their applications. Tejender Goldy was appointed as the new district chief unanimously. He has been actively working to strengthen the party with Sushil Rana. Their experience will benefit the party and the organisation will be further strengthened.”
