The Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) is set to commence a drone survey of its land, aiming to obtain comprehensive details regarding the Municipal Corporation ownership, Lal Dora, regular and illegal colonies. Colonies will undergo surveying in the initial phase, followed by the identification and surveying of other land in subsequent phases.

During a meeting held at the MCM office on Friday, the survey agency delivered a presentation to Joint Commissioner Darshan Yadav, ATP Siddharth Khandelwal and SDO, Planning, Vipin Bura. In the meeting, officials provided survey-related guidelines to the agency representative.

Addressing the gathering, the Joint Commissioner emphasised that the survey of colonies would be prioritised in the initial phase, with ground survey work commencing shortly.

“The survey report will significantly aid corporation officials in executing development projects. With just one click, all government and private land in any village or colony can be identified. Moreover, this survey report will serve to prevent encroachments on government land,” remarked the Joint Commissioner.

Two days ago, the MC proposed an expenditure of Rs 505 crore on various infrastructure projects in the industrial hub for the fiscal year 2024-25. This expenditure marks a decrease of 2.6 per cent compared to the previous budget.

The MC has estimated revenue collection of Rs 470 crore, indicating a 14 per cent decrease from Rs 547 crore in the last fiscal year.
