The RWA members, including Lokesh Yadav, Commander Satvir Yadav, Sunil Yadav, Anurag Agarwal, Yogesh Sharma, Satya Sahay and Deepti, congratulated Yadav on being elected as the first Mayor of Manesar, and shared their grievances with her.

Also a social activist, Lokesh Yadav suggested the Mayor to take the advantage of social media platforms to connect with the local RWAs and get first-hand information on issues/problems being faced by them in their respective areas. The officials of the civic body must be included in these social media groups. They should take action, accordingly, on coming to know about the issues/problems raised in these social media groups.

The RWA members said over the last four years, the ruling BJP party had been making a lot of claims of solving the problems of locals, but nothing had happened on the ground. They told the Mayor that this was the main reason for the BJP’s defeat. Generally, urban residents are considered to be BJP’s cadre votes, but in this election, this vote bank of the BJP shifted towards the independent candidates. Apart from the Mayor’s election, a majority, 14 out of the total of 20 wards, went to the Independent candidates.

The RWA members said they hoped that Inderjit Yadav would take the MC to new heights in terms of development.

Many housing societies along the Dwarka Expressway and all housing societies from sectors 77 to 99 have been included in the Manesar MC area.

The big auto industries such as Suzuki, Honda, Hero and others are located in Manesar with many others eying to set up their units in this industrial township. However, due to the damaged roads, stray cattle, poor electricity system, dilapidated drainage and sewerage system, the industrialists were also looking for improvements in the civic facilities.
