A manhole on the Kunjpura road in the city, which is the busiest market here, is below the surface of the road and poses threat to commuters and pedestrians. As per the guidelines, the manholes should not be above the road surface and not below the road surface. The manhole should be with the level of the road. The manhole is causing hardships to the motorists while driving. The officials concerned should take note of it. Amit Ahuja, Karnal

Stray animals threat to road users

Stray animals can be seen wandering, squatting on the roads and on the National Highway. Sometimes the cattle and dogs appear all of a sudden on roads, jeopardising the lives of commuters, especially bikers.
