Manish of Jhajjar clinches gold in javelin throw

The second day of the state-level senior athletics championship witnessed impressive performances by athletes from across Haryana. In the javelin throw event, Manish of Jhajjar secured the gold medal, while Vinay of Sirsa claimed silver and Yudhveer of Bhiwani won the bronze medal.

In the women's javelin throw, Saloni of Karnal bagged the gold medal, with Gaura of Bhiwani and Isha of Hisar clinching the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In the 100-m men's race, Mohit of Panipat, Junaid of Gurugram and Virender of Fatehabad clinched gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively, said Sudha Bhasin, District Sports Officer (DSO).

In the men's discus throw event, Anil of Karnal bagged the gold medal, Satyawan of Bhiwani silver and Nitin of Yamunanagar won the bronze medal, she added.

In the 800-m men's race, Dhoni of Charkhi Dadri, Sanket of Jhajjar and Deepak of Panipat secured gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively. In the pole vault event for men, Parveen of Bhiwani claimed gold, Bhavishya of Hisar won silver and Himanshu of Bhiwani won bronze.

In the high jump, Manjeet of Karnal won the gold medal, Himanshu of Ambala earned silver and Sanyog of Sirsa secured bronze. In the men's 4x400-m relay race, Rohtak, Panchkula and Sonepat teams won the gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In the women's 4x400-m relay race, Karnal bagged gold, Jind silver and Faridabad bronze.

In the 100-m women's race, Anshu of Sonepat clinched the gold medal, Prachi of Bhiwani bagged silver, and Sonika of Jind secured bronze. In the 400-m women's race, Lakshita and Kavita of Karnal won gold and silver medals and Anshika of Ambala claimed the bronze medal. In the 800-m women's race, Meena Kumari from Bhiwani secured gold, Rimpi of Ambala silver and Tamanna of Jind clinched bronze.
