The factory had been closed after the Sunday morning shift. A security guard on duty noticed the flames and immediately alerted the factory owner and fire brigade.

Due to the intensity of the blaze, a total of 10 fire tenders from Panipat and Samalkha were deployed to the site. Firefighters battled the flames for over four hours before managing to bring the situation under control. The exact cause of the fire is not known.
