As per information, on the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha and Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav, officials of the sanitation wing started the inspection to take stock of door-to-door garbage collection work.

Officials decided to visit every ward to gather information whether trucks/other vehicles were coming in all colonies of every ward to lift garbage from door-to-door or not.

Dr Vijay Pal Yadav, along with officials of the sanitation wing, visited several areas in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri during the last two days to take stock of garbage collection and take action against those who threw waste in the open and used banned polythene bags.

“We are making efforts to provide better sanitation facilities to residents living in the area falling under the jurisdiction of the MC. We are visiting all wards to take stock of the sanitation work and door-to-door garbage collection work. We have issued strict instructions to officials of the agency, which collects waste from door-to-door, to regularly send vehicles in every colony of each ward, ” said Dr Yadav.

He said they were also spreading awareness among residents to segregate dry and wet garbage and put it in vehicles instead of throwing it in open places. He further said challans were being issued to the violators.

“Our teams have issued challans to 15 persons for throwing garbage in the open and using banned polythene bags in the last two days,” said Dr Yadav.
