MC construct’s grand community centre at Yamunanagar village

The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), has constructed a grand community centrenear Tejli Sports Complex at Gadhauli village falling under Ward 11 of the MCYJ. The community centre has been constructed spending Rs 2.47 crore.

Besides Gadhauli village, hundreds of people from the surrounding area will also benefit from the community centre.

“The community centre will be inaugurated soon,” said former Mayor Madan Chauhan.

As per available information, the facilities of a large hall, councillor room, guest room, dressing room, caretaker room, kitchen and separate toilets for men and women are there at the centre.

Madan Chauhan further said people of the areas, including Gadhauli village, Tejli village, Mayapuri Colony, Madhur Colony, Chitta Mandir area, Hanuman Colony and Sundar Vihar Colony would benefit from the centre.

“With the construction of the centre, people will now be able to organise wedding, social, religious and other programmes here,” said Chauhan. He said the councillor of the ward concerned would also be able to listen to the problems of the residents of the area in the MC room of the community centre.

“During my tenure, I started the process of construction of two community centres at Gadhauli and Badhi Majra villages. The construction work of the centre at Gadhauli village is complete. However, the construction work of the community center at Badhi Majra village is in the final stage,” said Chauhan.

As per available information, the foundation stone of the Gadhauli centre was laid on April 15, 2022.

“I inspected the community centre several times and instructed the officials of the MCYJ to take special care of the quality of work,” said Chauhan. He said that the construction work of the community centre at Badhi Majra village was also in the final state. He further said the centre was being built at a cost of about Rs 2,47,51,000 on the vacant land near the pond in Badhi Majra village falling under the MCYJ's Ward12.

He further said that the people of the area would soon get the community centre equipped with modern facilities.

“The governments of Narendra Modi at the centre and Nayab Singh Saini in the state are getting development work done without any discrimination,” said Chauhan.
