Gurugram, February 19
A zonal taxation officer of the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, has been allegedly found guilty of committing irregularities in the Mukhyamantri Shehri Nikay Swamitva Yojana.
Under this scheme, ownership rights are given to people who have been in possession of land, shop or house managed by various departments falling under the Urban Civic Bodies on rent, lease or license fee for a period of more than 20 years.
Confirming this, MC Commissioner Dr Narhari Singh Banger said departmental action had been recommended against the officer who had committed irregularities.
He said that in the inquiry conducted by the vigilance wing of the MC, the employee was prima facie found guilty of committing irregularities.
He said, “I have gone through the detailed inquiry conducted by vigilance wing and forwarded it to the directorate of the Urban Local Bodies Department for necessary departmental action.”
He said the vigilance wing was also conducting an inquiry into the role of other employees in committing irregularities under this scheme.
