MC officials conduct inspection of public toilets
A team of the Municipal Corporation (MC) of Hisar found many deficiencies in public toilets today during an inspection as per the directions of Municipal Commissioner Neeraj. MC officials informed that 13 toilets were found lacking in requisite facilities during the inspection. The agency which had been given the responsibility of maintenance would be fined for negligence, they said.
Chief Sanitary Inspector (CSI) Raj Kumar, accompanied by Assistant Sanitary Inspector Kapil, technical expert Jasbir Kundu, carried out the surprise inspection. The team visited a total of 17 public toilets and urinals across the town. The officials informed that they found shortcomings in 13 toilets, which included poor hygiene and broken fixtures.
The officials informed that a penalty would be imposed on the managing agency, Social Skill Vision Security, for poor maintenance. CSI said that such inspections would be conducted periodically to ensure accountability.
The inspected facilities were located at various points in the town. Notable deficiencies were found at Malik Chowk, Madhuvan Park, Krishna Nagar, Chajuram Park and multiple sites in the old and new auto markets. The team detected that the taps were missing or broken and there was filth inside the facilities. Meanwhile, four toilets, including those at Rajguru Market (Shiv Temple) and Cloth Market, were found to be in satisfactory condition. The official spokesperson informed that they took the step to maintain the cleanliness of public amenities and ensure the agency responsible adheres to its obligations.
