MC staff told to work as per guidelines of toolkit to get better Swachh survey ranking
The Municipal Corporation authorities of Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ) have asked its employees to work as per guidelines of the toolkit to get better ranking in Swachh Survekshan.
As per guidelines of the toolkit, the MCYJ employees have been asked to work properly in the field of cleanliness, collecting garbage separately, disposing it properly, solid waste management, awareness towards cleanliness, used water management, mechanisation of sewage disposal and citizens’ feedback.
After holding an online meeting, Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav instructed the sanitation officers and inspectors to work properly on every point given in the toolkit.
He said this time the theme of the Swachh Survey was to reduce, reuse and recycle of garbage. He further said there was a need to get highest marks out of the 12,500 to get the best ranking in Swachh Survey-2024.
“We have issued instructions to all sanitation officials to work on every point given in the toolkit,” said Yadav.
He said all sanitation officials had been asked to visit all colonies in their respective areas.
He further said they had been asked to get the garbage cleaned and not let garbage accumulate at any place in the twin cities.
“They have been asked to improve sanitation in and around ponds constructed in the area of the Municipal Corporation, to improve sanitation in commercial areas and undertake door-to-door garbage collection regularly,” said Yadav.
He said they had also been asked to get all big and small drains cleaned immediately in the twin cities and other areas falling under the jurisdiction of the MCYJ.
“Citizens of the twin cities will be made aware about cleanliness, but action will be taken against those, who dump garbage in the open,” said Yadav.
Chief Sanitary Inspectors Harjeet Singh and Sunil Dutt and other officials of the MCYJ Amit Kamboj, Govind Sharma, Bittu, Sachin Kamboj, Satbir, Sushil, Sumit and IEC expert Pooja were present on the occasion.
