MC to carry out development works in seven wards of Ya’nagar, Jagadhri

Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), will soon carry out development works worth about Rs 1.80 crore (Rs 179.42 lakh) in seven wards of the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

The MCYJ has invited tenders to undertake development works, including paved streets, drainage, community centres and other construction works in the seven wards.

Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha said he had instructed the officials to prepare estimates and invite tenders on a priority basis.

He instructed the officials that tenders should be allotted soon, so that the construction work could be started early.

The Municipal Commissioner said the MCYJ would construct a street from Chandrapal Saini's house to periphery in Aurangabad village of Ward18 at a cost of Rs 2.45 lakh.

He said the construction of SC Chaupal would be completed in Panjeto Ka Majra village of Ward 19 at a cost of Rs 9.66 lakh.

He further said in Ward 10, construction of a road work would be undertaken from Sharma's shop to advocate Ravikant's house; from Agrasen Chowk to the railway station and from Punjab Sweet House to Kamal Scooter shop at a cost of Rs 8.43 lakh.

He added that construction of Pal Chaupal would be undertaken at Pansara village of Ward 12 at a cost of Rs 14.54 lakh and RCC drain would be constructed along with laying of pipes from DAV School to Dental College via Global Education Centre in Ward 8 at a cost of Rs 15.35 lakh.

He said the road widening work would be undertaken from Lakshmi Tea Stall to RC Pahuja house and near Rajiv Mehta’s house in Model Town in Ward 8.

“In Model Town (Ward 8), road construction work, including laying of pipeline from Amritsari Kulcha shop to Royal Look shop will be done at a cost of Rs 10.69 lakh. In this ward, the construction work of a street and drain from Sanjay's house to Gurvinder's house and from Kamboj 's house to Nanda's house will also be done in Yogesh Nagar and Kamala Nagar at a cost of Rs 15.59 lakh,” said Ayush Sinha.

He said the construction of lane and drain would be undertaken from Oberoi's house to Ramesh's house in Model Town at a cost of Rs 5.22 lakh, the construction of lane and drain from Kheda Mandir to Mamidi Community Centre, Shami House to Babli's house, Bastiram's house to Balakram's house and Mahindra's house to Pal Singh's house in Ward 13 would be undertaken at a cost of Rs 23.49 lakh.

He further said development works in other areas of the MCYJ would also be undertaken.
