The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), will develop a park near Ravi Hospital in Model Town in Ward 8. The MCYJ will spend about Rs 76 lakh on development of the park.
The MCYJ will also strengthen the road leading from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk to Agrasen Chowk at a cost of about Rs 99 lakh.
Both development works will be approved at the General House meeting on June 12.
Along with these two proposals, 56 proposals will be presented at the meeting by Mayor Suman Bahamani and Commissioner Akhil Pilani.
These proposals will be discussed with the councillors and officials of the MCYJ.
As per available information, Mayor Suman Bahamani will preside over the meeting, while Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana and Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora will be the chief guests.Various proposals passed at the last meeting of the House will also be discussed at the meeting.
According to information, the MC has made a proposal to form monitoring committees, which will include municipal councillors and other representatives to monitor the development work.
The proposal will also be discussed at the General House meeting.
Besides, there are proposals to outsource road sweeping work and cleaning system in the wards, to increase the number of sanitation workers in all wards, to issue separate tender for each ward for cleaning work, to increase the number of baildars (group-D employees) in the MC, to solve the problem of stray dogs, monkeys and other animals, to install rumble strips on newly built CC roads near schools and colleges, to install water harvesting system in the wards, to build community centres, to develop play grounds and parks on MCYJ land.All these proposals will be approved at the General House meeting.
“As many as 56 proposals will be presented at the General House meeting of the MCYJ to be held in Yamunanagar on June 12,” said Pilani.
