In a bid to expedite the property verification process, employees of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), will now be required to verify more than 20 property IDs daily. Those who fail to meet the target will face disciplinary action, while employees who perform exceptionally will be honoured on Republic Day and Independence Day.

These directives were issued by Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav to ensure the swift completion of property verification work. He emphasised that all employees involved in the process should take the task seriously and avoid any negligence.

Dr Yadav held a meeting with the employees engaged in property ID verification at the MCYJ office, where he reviewed the ongoing work. The MCYJ has set up ward-wise teams to verify properties across the municipal areas. Each ward team consists of three to four employees, who are going door-to-door to verify the properties of local residents. Additionally, property verification is being carried out at the Nagarik Suvidha Kendras in all three MCYJ offices.

"Currently, 49.20 per cent of properties in the MCYJ jurisdiction have been verified, making MCYJ the top performer in property verification across the state," Dr Yadav shared. However, he noted that the property verification process had been delayed recently due to employees being assigned election duties for the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections.

Dr Yadav assured that the MCYJ is committed to verify all properties in the twin cities. He urged residents whose properties have not been verified yet to cooperate with the MCYJ employees and get their properties verified at the earliest. He also encouraged the public to report any discrepancies in the property data to ensure they are corrected promptly.
