Highlighting the mission of IACM, Dr Aggarwal said the association was a nationwide professional body dedicated to advancement of medical education, clinical practice and research. With over 3,000 member doctors across India, the organisation works to strengthen the Indian healthcare system through a scientific, ethical and patient-centered approach.

“There is an urgent need to prepare future doctors not just with theoretical knowledge, but also with practical understanding, ethical values, compassion and technological proficiency. My priority will be to help the authorities create an atmosphere where doctors are trained to recognise not just the illness, but the human suffering behind it—and to treat it with dedication and empathy,” said Dr Aggarwal after assuming office on Friday.

He also shared his vision to transform IACM into a platform for young doctors and researchers to share their ideas and innovations in ways that contribute meaningfully to the country and society. “The IACM will advocate training programmes rooted in modern technology and ethical medical practice. Focus will also be on promoting nationwide collaboration among doctors and ensure that the medical fraternity has a stronger voice in shaping public health policy,” Dr Aggarwal added.
