Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rajesh Nagar today ordered registration of an FIR after several irregularities were detected at ration depots situated at Kushak Badoli village on Saturday.

Nagar detected sand in bags of grain stored at one of the depots. He also found that grain had been stored at various spots in violation of the norms. He asked senior officials of the department to lodge an FIR against the Food Inspector and others responsible for alleged irregularities.

He said strict action would be taken against all those who were found to be involved in corruption or irregularities in the public distribution system.
