Scores of people reached the office with their problems, presenting them before the minister. People raised complaints and demands over education, police, health, the municipal corporation and the Panchayat Department. Dhanda directed the departments concerned to resolve the complaints.
A delegation of the Haryana University Contractual Teachers’ Association met the Education Minister at the event, calling for a law to be passed during the winter session of the Assembly to provide service security to the thousands of contractual assistant professors, who have been working in government universities for years.
In a statement, the association said the process of guaranteeing job security to contractual university teachers had been going on since CM Nayab Singh Saini made the promise during the winter session last year.
In this regard, a report by a high-level committee, approved by the Chief Minister, had been sent to the Higher Education Department, and information sought from the Registrars of all universities of the state had also been received by the Education Department, the statement added.
