Minister stresses timely services, resolving citizen issues promptly
Haryana's Minister for Women and Child Development, Irrigation and Water Resources, Shruti Choudhry, emphasised the government’s commitment to delivering timely services to citizens. She urged officials to avoid delays, coordinate effectively, and fulfil their responsibilities during the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee meeting on Monday at the DPRC Hall in Fatehabad. A total of 17 cases were presented in the meeting, of which seven were resolved.
Satpal Mangla, president of the Ratia Model Town Residents Welfare Association, complained about frequent sewer blockages and dirty water flooding streets, causing hardships for residents. Officials explained that the area falls under the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran’s (HSVP) jurisdiction, limiting action by the local municipality. Responding to this, Choudhry directed the Public Health Department, Urban Local Bodies Department, and the HSVP to coordinate and resolve the issue urgently, ensuring no further inconvenience to people.
In another case, Devendra Kumar from Kirdhan village reported that his Scorpio, registered in Fatehabad, was fraudulently transferred to another person's name by the SDM office staff. Fatehabad SDM confirmed an FIR had been lodged against the staff involved, and the Bahadurgarh Registration Authority had been approached for an NOC. The minister instructed officials to expedite the process and resolve the matter immediately.
Additionally, Jagdish, a resident of Tamaspura village, alleged that his land partition was mishandled by the Revenue Department, with possession unlawfully granted to another party. Choudhry directed Ratia SDM to investigate the matter thoroughly and present a report in the next meeting. If violations are found, action should be taken against the responsible individuals.
