Faridabad: Minor daughter, 2 others held for killing man over ‘love’ affair
Faridabad, July 9
The police have arrested three persons, including a teenage girl, in connection with a recent murder.
ACP (crime) Aman Yadav said two of the accused — Salim, alias Lala, and Kasim, residents of Adarsh Nagar and Kureshipur village — and the girl were arrested following investigations into the murder of a 55-year-old resident of SGM Nagar. The incident occurred in the last week of June.
A complaint regarding the victim’s disappearance was lodged on June 27, and the police recovered his body from a drain in New Janata Colony on July 1.
The crime branch team arrested Salim on July 6 after receiving information about his involvement in the incident. It is reported that Salim and the minor girl, the victim’s daughter, who were in a relationship, decided to eliminate her father. According to the police, Salim, his friend Kasim and the girl hatched the murder conspiracy. On June 27, the girl sent her father to a shop to fetch a mobile phone.
Salim and Kasim then took the victim to a secluded place on a motorcycle under some pretext and assaulted him with a stone, resulting in his death. They dumped the body in a drain. The victim’s wife had lodged a complaint about her husband’s disappearance.
The girl has been sent to a juvenile home, while the police have taken the two male accused into custody for further interrogation and gathering evidence.
