Mock drill at Ambala Cantt over Covid preparedness
Ambala, April 10
Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij reviewed the preparedness for Covid, during a mock drill conducted at Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment, on Monday.
The minister inquired about the isolation beds, checked the oxygen plants, medicines, and other facilities, and directed officials of the Health Department to remain on alert and provide symptomatic treatment to the patients.
The minister said “Mock drills were conducted across the state to check the preparedness for Covid. I have checked the preparedness here in Ambala Cantonment. I have checked the wards and availability of oxygen and medicines.”
During the mock drill, the minister made calls asking the control room to send the dial 112 vehicle and ambulance and then recorded their response time. He inquired about the oxygen cylinders in ambulances and the record of patients. Similarly, he asked the policeman deputed in dial 112 vehicle about the arrangements, in case a patient needs to be sent in the vehicle.
During the visit, the minister interacted with the patients at the hospital and inquired about the facilities being provided.
