As many as 36 teams of flying squad will keep a strict vigil in all four Assembly constituencies of Yamunanagar district to stop the violation of model code of conduct.

According to information, after the announcement of the Assembly elections, various teams of the district administration are continuously working to ensure compliance of the model code of conduct.

Employees of Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri, Municipal Committee Radaur, Municipal Committee, Sadhaura and Development and Panchayat Department are removing promotional material put up without permission from public places.

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Captain Manoj Kumar said a campaign was being run to remove promotional material placed without permission at public places in the district.

He said no one should put up political promotional material/publicity material at public places in the district without permission.

“If any person is found violating the model code of conduct, a strict legal action will be taken against him. If the printers and their employees, who prepare hoardings and promotional material in the district, are found violating the rules at any public place without permission, legal action will be taken against them as well,” said Captain Manoj Kumar.

He said the administration was working seriously to ensure compliance of the model code of conduct in the district. He said the violations of the code of conduct should be reported on the c-Vigil App and toll free number 1950.

“We appeal to the people of the district to cooperate with the district administration to follow the model code of conduct. If any violation of rules is found anywhere in the district, immediately inform the Election Commission of India on its app c-Vigil or the district administration’s toll free number 1950,” said Captain Manoj Kumar.
