Rewari, February 8
Co-operation and Public Health Engineering Minister Dr Banwari Lal said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would lay the foundation stone of ambitious AIIMS project in Bhalkhi-Majra village on February 16.
The minister, along with Deputy Commissioner Rahul Hooda, and other officials today inspected the site of the project and issued directions to them regarding preparations of the function.
“The commencement of construction work of AIIMS is not only crucial for the development of the region but also for the entire southern Haryana,” said the minister.
He also expressed gratitude to the PM, Chief Minister Manohar Lal, and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh stating that the establishment of health services in Rewari were going to be the focal point, which would not only benefit the districts adjoining Haryana but also the people of Rajasthan.
“Along with the setting up of AIIMS, employment opportunities will also be created for the people in the surrounding areas. On the one hand, there will be expansion in health services while on the other hand, the economic development of the region will also get a boost,” said the minister.
Dr. Banwari Lal said the PM’s visit to Rewari would be broadcast live across the state, in which ministers, MLAs, and MPs will listen to the PM’s message along with the public.
“The AIIMS will be developed in 210 acres and it will cost around Rs 1,231 crore. After the foundation stone laying of AIIMS, the process of its construction along with the start of OPD will commence soon,” he added.
