MP Jindal reviews works in Kaithal, calls for comprehensive growth
Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal emphasised the need for a comprehensive development of Kaithal district, saying that key sectors such as education, health, sports, cleanliness and infrastructure needed to be enhanced. “Challenges will arise, but these can be overcome through coordination and dedication,” he said, while chairing a review meeting of the development works while chairing the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC–DISHA) on Tuesday in Kaithal. He reviewed over 41 projects across various departments and expressed his vision for Kaithal to be the leading district in Haryana. He encouraged officials to resolve any administrative hurdles and to coordinate closely with his office for support in matters involving state or central agencies.
He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of doubling farmers' income and directed officials to promote natural farming and ensure markets for agricultural produce. Additionally, he instructed the Civil Surgeon to utilise healthcare resources effectively and ensure that benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme reached eligible beneficiaries.
Jindal lauded the construction of the Delhi-Katra National Highway by the NHAI and directed local authorities to maintain clean and safe roads across the district, with special attention to the Ghaggar floodplain areas.
MP Naveen Jindal discussed issues ranging from teacher shortages in schools to electricity supply challenges in villages. He also reviewed the implementation of major government programmes, including Swachh Bharat Mission, PM Awas Yojana and MGNREGA. He instructed officials to resolve irregularities in MGNREGA expenditure and explore innovative ways to utilise labour for community development projects.
Jindal announced his personal support for improving sports infrastructure in the district. He pledged to provide gym equipment and appoint ground staff for stadiums, emphasising the importance of sports in preventing youth from falling prey to drug abuse. Pundri MLA Satpal Jamba and Guhla MLA Devender Hans presented issues specific to their constituencies, including road repairs, teacher shortages and healthcare infrastructure. Jamba highlighted the lack of road markings while Hans focused on flood compensation and sewerage issues. MP Jindal assured prompt action and directed officials to address these concerns.
