With the passing-out parade of the 86th batch of recruit basic course at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, Recruit Training Centre, Bhondsi, and Police Training Centre, Sunaria, the Haryana Police on Thursday got another batch of highly qualified constables.

It is the second batch in a row with highly qualified youths. Last year, around 5,000 highly qualified constables joined the police.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar chaired the function in Madhuban, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala in Sunaria and Home Minister Anil Vij in Bhondsi.

The current batch of 5,189 recruits comprises 4,167 men and 1,022 women — 1,714 in Madhuban, 1,766 in Bhondsi and 1,709 in Sunaria.

Of the total 5,189 new constables, 1,223 are married and 3,966 unmarried. As many as 4,564 are from rural background and 625 from urban background.

Data shows that 3,334 recruits are below the age of 25 years, 1,368 are aged between 26 and 30 years, 153 are aged between 31 and 35 years, 252 are aged between 36 and 40 years and 82 are above 40 years of age.

As many as 2,124 constables are from the general category, 1,028 from BC-A, 907 from BC-B and 1,130 from SC category. The data further shows that 5,168 are from Haryana and 21 from other states.
