The Haryana Government has announced the inclusion of the Mahakumbh Tirtha in Prayagraj under the 'Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana.' This scheme facilitates pilgrimages for elderly individuals from underprivileged families, with all expenses covered by the government.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made the announcement while reviewing the government’s achievements during the first 100 days of its current term. "Under this initiative, citizens from all districts will now have the opportunity to visit the Mahakumbh Tirtha," he said.

Currently, the scheme provides for pilgrimages to Ayodhya as well as to Vaishno Devi shrine and Shirdi. The Chief Minister said the scheme’s expansion reaffirms the government’s commitment to public welfare.

Meanwhile, the government has increased the commission for arhtiyas from Rs 46 per quintal to Rs 55 per quintal, releasing Rs 309 crore to date. Chief Minister Saini highlighted this as part of the government’s initiatives to support stakeholders in agriculture.

During the meeting with Administrative Secretaries, the Chief Minister directed officers to implement the 'Citizen Charter' diligently in their respective departments. He emphasised the need for timely updates to the CM Announcement Portal and the resolution of public grievances through Jan Samvad.

Saini urged the full adoption of the e-office system, its integration with the CM Dashboard and the proper maintenance of records in government offices. “Officers must conduct surprise inspections to ensure there are no delays in public-interest projects,” he added.

Director General of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, KM Pandurang, presented a comprehensive review of the government’s accomplishments during the past 100 days. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Dr Vivek Joshi, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, and other senior officials.
