Chandigarh, July 26
The Haryana Police have arrested an accused, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, from Rajasthan.
The accused, identified as Sanjeet, alias Sunny, a resident of Sunaria Kalan in Rohtak district, was wanted in over half a dozen cases, including murder and loot.
He was the prime accused in the killing of a teacher on June 14 at Alipura village in Jind district.
The accused, along with his two aides, had shot dead Suresh, who was a key witness in a murder incident. More than eight cases of murder, attempt to murder, loot and threaten to kill are already registered against him in different police stations. He was at large since then and the police, who had been looking for him, had declared a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest. His one associate had been arrested on July 5.
After the registration of a case against him, the accused was taken on remand by producing him in court.
