Power and Transport Minister Anil Vij during his visit to Rohtak on Sunday continued with his retorts in response to the recent remarks made by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, in which he referred to Vij as a senior leader of the BJP. “Everything can be taken away from me, but my seniority cannot be snatched. I have been elected MLA for the seventh time,” Vij remarked while speaking to mediapersons.

When asked about the shifting of officials, Vij said, “It has been over 100 days since I raised the issue on an open platform that officers worked against me during the elections. Now, it doesn’t matter whether someone has been shifted or not.”

In response to another question regarding ministership, Vij stated that, “I have not taken an official house, but I have only an official car. If it is taken away, my supporters have already said they will buy one for me. No one can snatch my legislatorship, as I was elected by the people. It makes no difference to me.”

Vij further emphasised, “I want the party and the state government to work properly. The Chief Minister should listen to the ministers, MLAs and people. Just 10 days ago, Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana called me up and said that officers in Yamunanagar were now listening to him. It is nice if the officers have started listening to him (Rana) now.”

On the Budget, Vij said that the reduction in taxes on household items would help lower household expenses, providing significant relief to the common man. The minister said that the fleet of Haryana Roadways was being increased for the convenience of the people. The location of the buses will also be known through the tracking system, which will be a great convenience for the people,” Vij added

“The government will provide pure and healthy food to the passengers at the bus stands, and for this some bus stands of the state have been included as part of a pilot project,” he said.
