Naveen Dhankhar, a retired Indian Navy officer and currently employed at the State Bank of India, has denied any link of his son, Navankur Chaudhary, with Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber, who was recently arrested on charges of leaking sensitive military information to Pakistani handlers.

Navankur, a doctor-turned-travel vlogger known online as Yatri Doctor, drew public attention after a photo of him with Jyoti Malhotra and others at a public event surfaced on social media. The incident prompted police officials to visit his family home at Bahadurgarh town in Jhajjar district two days ago to inquire about his whereabouts and international travel history.

“My son has done nothing wrong and is being unfairly targeted. Fake narratives are being circulated, which are causing immense mental stress to our family. I urge the media to refrain from spreading misinformation and to stop conducting a media trial,” said Dhankhar while addressing the media in Bahadurgarh.

Dhankhar clarified that Malhotra had approached Navankur during an event, claiming to be a fan and requesting a photograph. “That was the only interaction they had. There is absolutely no connection between my son and her or any anti-national elements,” he emphasised.

He further said Navankur has so far travelled to 144 countries, including Pakistan, as part of his mission to travel to all countries. He is currently in Ireland and is expected to return to India next month.

“Our family has always upheld the highest standards of patriotism. I served the nation in the Indian Navy for 20 years, and we continue to stand by our country. My son has no ties to any unlawful or anti-national activities,” Dhankhar added.
