Was shot dead by unidentified person in the forest while hunting

A youth, Gurdeep (19) of Ismailpur village in Yamunanagar district died under mysterious circumstances.

On the complaint of Sub-Inspector Ajay Singh, a case was registered against an unidentified person under Section 103 (1) and 238 (a) of the BNS at Pratap Nagar police station on December 17.

As per the complainant, Gurdeep along with his father Neetu had gone hunting in the forest areas of Tajewala/Kalesar villages in the evening on December 15.

He said Gurdeep was shot dead by an unidentified person in the forest.

He further said Gurdeep was not taken to a hospital and his body was cremated in his village in the night itself.

“If the case is investigated after registration of an FIR, the man behind the murder can be reached,” the complainant said in his police complaint.

Ajay Singh, SHO, Pratap Nagar police station said the matter was being investigated by him.
