Nadda assures increase in health cover to Rs 10 lakh, smart city status for Panchkula
BJP national president J P Nadda assured an increase in the health cover under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya scheme from Rs 5 lakh to upto Rs 10 lakh upon formation of BJP-led state government in Haryana.
Nadda was speaking during a convention organised here on Sunday in support of BJP candidate Gian Chand Gupta, where he assured that if brought to power, the BJP will focus on making Panchkula a smart city.
He was joined by former chairperson of National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma, senior BJP leaders Sanjay Tandon, Banto Kataria, BJP district president Deepak Sharma, Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goel, among others.
Nadda said the BJP has brought about fundamental changes in the country. “PM Narendra Modi has changed the political culture of India. Earlier, people used to talk about corruption and appeasement, but now during BJP rule the political culture of the country has been changed. Now, the governance is pro-people, active and it is a politics of development in the country.”
Referring to Gian Chand Gupta, Nadda said the Panchkula MLA has shared his report card of last 10 years. “He has worked extensively for the people and delivered projects. BJP's manifesto is a vision document for the next five years. Therefore, we make assurances after having worked in the country. PM Modi has set the narative of sabka sath, sabka vikas,” added Nadda.
Drawing a contrast, Nadda said the Congress has picked up the agenda of the leftist.
“They do this merely to attain power. But we removed Article 370 to ensure there is only one constitution in the country. It was only the BJP government that removed triple talaq,” he added.
