A day after the BJP faced anti-party sloganeering in Gehli village, the outgoing Nangal Choudhary MLA, BJP's Abhe Singh Yadav, faced questions in Koriavaas village on Thursday.

The Congress has fielded Manju Choudhary against Yadav, who is in the fray for the third time, from the constituency, located on the border of Haryana and Rajasthan.

Yadav had arrived at Koriavaas to address a poll meeting. During the meeting, a youngster took the microphone and started questioning the MLA. He raised questions over the BJP’s claims of development in the Nangal Choudhary area.

Yadav and other BJP leaders present listened to the youth. Later, the BJP candidate enumerated the development works undertaken in the Assembly constituency during his tenure in the past decade.

“Why should we vote for the BJP? The BJP government has failed to fill a large number of vacant posts during its tenure, but it blames the Congress, regarding it as the ‘Bharti Roko Gang’. It is beyond understanding why the BJP did not fill all posts when it ruled both the Centre and the state,” said the youngster.

After a couple of minutes, Yadav got up from his seat and tried to take the microphone from the youth to answer his question. However, the youngster continued to hold it. Some time later, some of the villagers present at the event got up and snatched the microphone from him, stating that it was now time for Yadav to present his views.

Speaking to The Tribune, Yadav said, “The incident was a politically motivated move. The youth was projected by opposition parties with an intention to malign my image and to disrupt the poll meeting. However, he could not succeed as villagers accorded me a warm welcome and assured to vote and support me. The youngster’s question about the recruitment was illogical as the matter is sub-judice. However, I responded to his all questions and also enumerated a large number of development works I had got done in Nangal Choudhary."
