Narcotics control bureau's poetic call inspires youth against drug abuse

The Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) has introduced a creative way to tackle drug abuse among adolescents through a poem titled "Rise Above, Go Beyond." This initiative complements the Bureau’s Chakravyuh programme, an educational escape room designed to teach students about the consequences of poor choices and the benefits of discipline.

The Chakravyuh escape room at DAV Police Public School, Ambala, immerses students in real-life scenarios involving puzzles and challenges that highlight the dangers of drugs and delinquency. "Students leave with a clear understanding of how their decisions shape their future," said an HSNCB spokesperson.

Adding a poetic dimension, HSNCB has released "Rise Above, Go Beyond" to extend the reach of Chakravyuh's lessons. “The poem captures the essence of what Chakravyuh teaches,” said the spokesperson. "It’s a creative yet impactful way to engage Haryana’s youth, urging them to aspire to greater heights."

The poem opens by emphasising the transformative power of adolescence, framing these years as the foundation for the future. HSNCB has urged schools across Haryana to include the poem in their curriculum and encourage critical discussions among students.

This initiative adds a new layer to the Bureau’s ongoing #NashaMuktJeevanBucketChallenge campaign, which aims to create a drug-free Haryana.
